Meet Our Teacher Family
Huong really encourages you to give yourself an hour you deserve - to breath, connect with yourself, move your body, and spread your wings! So come join her, enjoy the flows and movements and bring a friend or two!
With over 500 hours of training Sheila has taught thousands of classes over the past seven years under the guidance of Julie Smerdon, Noah Maze, BJ Galvan, Lizzie Lasater, Lorin Roche, and Elena Brower. Sheila’s teachings are inspired by the great outdoors, her relationships, grief, and most recently motherhood. She lives and teaches from a place of compassion and it is her greatest hope that her offerings highlight the divine in all bodies, experiences, and challenges that life has to offer.
My practice helped me to overcome a long term struggle with anxiety and body image issues, as well as allowing me to feel more connected to the world around me. From this grew a great desire to share Yoga with others, so I made the decision to leave my decade long career as a Bookkeeper to pursue this passion.
Through teaching I aim to inspire those around me to live life to its fullest potential. My classes have an emphasis on building strength in the body, regaining and maintaining mobility, all while finding those moments of connected bliss & stillness throughout the practice. As well as Vinyasa Yoga, I also teach Barre, Restorative / Yin Yoga, Meditation, Kids Yoga and Acro with my partner, Rhys.
I have a great love of inversions & I enjoy the simple things in life, like getting outdoors to explore new places, travelling, reading, hanging out with my Italian Greyhound, Bambi and spending time with my loved ones. I have an ever growing collection of plants, and I am incredibly honoured to be a LululemonAmbassador for the James Street, Brisbane Store.
I have learnt that anything is attainable if you are willing to dedicate your mind + body + soul to it and look forward to sharing my journey in both business and life, with those who feel connected to what I do and what I stand for.
With a mixed mobility background including qualifications in a variety of different Yoga styles, Mat Pilates, Aerial Yoga, and Massage Therapy, I utilise all of these elements to inform my teaching. This vast and varied body of knowledge helps me make the practice of yoga accessible to people of all ages, body types and backgrounds.
You can expect my classes to be centred firmly around education and personal empowerment, with a strong focus on anatomy and technical instruction. My intention is to help you evolve mentally, physically & emotionally both on and off the mat. Classes will nearly always be sprinkled with a wee dash of gentle humour and playfulness too!
Rocio completed a 200 hour Hatha training in India in an Ayurvedic Ashram. 800 hour Certificate IV in Purna Yoga at Byron Yoga Centre. Modular 50 hour trainings in Yin Yoga, Remedial and Restorative Yoga. Currently studying a Diploma in Advanced Yoga Teaching, Business Management and Ayurveda.
Her teaching style is alignment focused with a calm, slow flow vibe and always includes breath awareness and functional movement strategies, finding a time to integrate a complete experience of asana, pranayama and meditation.
After 4 years in the corporate world, in 2018 he decided to shift his focus to being a full time yoga teacher and has been teaching since! His goal: share yoga and its powerful teachings!!
"Beyond the physical benefits that yoga provides, the practice has prepared me to be uncomfortable and has helped me to deal with life's challenges! Yoga is practiced as much on the mat as it is off the mat!" Chris's classes are fun and will make you feel good!!
Before coming to Australia, Linda lived in Germany, Spain and Austria where she completed her Psychology studies and offered counselling. At the end of 2019 she decided to step up into the teaching role and completed her 800 hour Certificate IV in Yoga teaching with ALG in Brisbane in 2020.
In her Yoga classes she offers a space to connect with the body and to enjoy being alive in the present moment. Body awareness and alignment as well as the integration of Pranayama and Meditation in the physical asana practice are important to her.
Connection is at the heart of Miky’s dharma or purpose—and connecting others to their purpose, their body, their breath is what drives and motivates him. Smile, breathe, move, enjoy every moment—join Miky on the mat.
Megan White is a wild embodiment enthusiast, motivated by a healthy and mindful lifestyle. From a young age, Megan has been fascinated with the body, its capability and astounded by its capacity to grow. Completing a B.H.S Musculoskeletal Therapy degree in 2014, Megan has dedicated her time to explore the depths of her mind, body & soul and as a result found a form of medicine through embodiment.
Megan invites you into a space that ignites this connection to the body, where she believes holds strong power for transformation
I found my passion for movement at a young age and began my diploma in Dance which led to performance opportunities from theatre to support acts for singers. As my time came to an end my mind and body itched for further development leading me to my University degree in Dance also.
Teaching me how to move with the mind, using the breathe as an art, connecting with people silently using the body to communicate and working with all bodied peoples. Towards the end of my degree I decided to finish my performance based learnings by competing across the UK with Hip Hop dancing earning a title.
I have now been in Australia for nearly 4 years and am currently in the final stages of my Massage Therapist studies.
Your body homes you and I aim to keep your foundations healthy.
