OUR TEACHERS

Meet Our Teacher Family

Esther Wallace-Hill

Owner + Teacher

Esther has been practicing yoga for over 14 years and followed her heart to share her passion for yoga and people. Esther draws her inspiration from functional movements, gymnastics and power yoga. Esther loves challenging your strength and stamina and finding the edge of your comfort zone!

Fiamma Frisone

Teacher

Fiamma was first drawn to yoga when she instinctively found herself on a mat in India in 2015. Fully immersed in the practice, she found the combination of mindful movement and conscious breathing, allowing to delve deeper into her own truth. Today, Fiamma teaches from a place of vulnerability to create an open, loving and healing space for students to practice. As yoga continues to have a profound impact on her life, her passion for sharing this knowledge and experience with people insatiably grows. Fiammas classes are a combination of heated Vinyasa flow and soft, restorative asanas to create a balanced and well-rounded practice. "My hope is that you always leave one of my classes feeling like you have learnt something about yourself, created space for growth or simply accepted what you see and feel. Yoga is an ongoing exploration of your inner world, through it you begin to see that the source of your own peace and happiness lies within."

Leanne Gerich

Teacher + Acupuncturist

Leanne Gerich is a Canadian-born 500-ERYT and TCM Practitioner (Herbalist and Acupuncturist). Leanne started yoga after studying nutrition - as she knew she needed more connection to her mind in her wellness journey. She has been practicing yoga for 10 years. What brought her first to yoga was a desire to become more mobile and comfortable in her own body. Over time, the desire shifted towards mainly a mental focus. Leanne has so much gratitude for the philosophy and teachings of yoga, and loves teaching the concepts of philosophy in a practical manner. Currently, Leanne teaches a few different styles of yoga: Hatha, Ashtanga inspired, Vinyasa, Power, and Yin. Her aim is to reach a wide variety of students to help share the gifts of this practice.

Huong Huynh- Redman

Teacher

Huong has been a dedicated student of yoga for the past 6 years. In early 2019 she decided to further her study and knowledge by going to Bali and learning in depth the fundamentals of yoga, breathing, meditation and has come home an official 200 RYT Yoga Teacher. Her passion is to spread the love for yoga, getting students to really connect with the body, appreciate and love themselves and never feeling guilty for doing just that! Her specialty is to challenge your body, to strengthen and condition your body safely, whether it’s long holds or balances to fun vinyasa flows!

Huong really encourages you to give yourself an hour you deserve - to breath, connect with yourself, move your body, and spread your wings! So come join her, enjoy the flows and movements and bring a friend or two!

Danique Hanson

Teacher

Coming from a background in Gymnastics, I first began practicing Yoga as a way to stay connected to my love of strong, flexible body movement. The more I embraced the Yoga lifestyle, the more I experienced the overwhelming benefits it had to offer the mind, body and spirit.

My practice helped me to overcome a long term struggle with anxiety and body image issues, as well as allowing me to feel more connected to the world around me. From this grew a great desire to share Yoga with others, so I made the decision to leave my decade long career as a Bookkeeper to pursue this passion.

Through teaching I aim to inspire those around me to live life to its fullest potential. My classes have an emphasis on building strength in the body, regaining and maintaining mobility, all while finding those moments of connected bliss & stillness throughout the practice. As well as Vinyasa Yoga, I also teach Barre, Restorative / Yin Yoga, Meditation, Kids Yoga and Acro with my partner, Rhys.

I have a great love of inversions & I enjoy the simple things in life, like getting outdoors to explore new places, travelling, reading, hanging out with my Italian Greyhound, Bambi and spending time with my loved ones. I have an ever growing collection of plants, and I am incredibly honoured to be a LululemonAmbassador for the James Street, Brisbane Store.

I have learnt that anything is attainable if you are willing to dedicate your mind + body + soul to it and look forward to sharing my journey in both business and life, with those who feel connected to what I do and what I stand for.

Rocio Marte

Teacher

Rocio was born in the Dominican Republic but spent many years in New York and Madrid working in fine arts, jewelry and fashion design. Rocio took a big leap of faith in 2016 and travelled to India to practice and study yoga. This changed her life forever.

Rocio completed a 200 hour Hatha training in India in an Ayurvedic Ashram. 800 hour Certificate IV in Purna Yoga at Byron Yoga Centre. Modular 50 hour trainings in Yin Yoga, Remedial and Restorative Yoga. Currently studying a Diploma in Advanced Yoga Teaching, Business Management and Ayurveda.

Her teaching style is alignment focused with a calm, slow flow vibe and always includes breath awareness and functional movement strategies, finding a time to integrate a complete experience of asana, pranayama and meditation.

Danny Pitt

Teacher

Danny has always been connected with movement. With his background in dance, yoga became another form of creative expression infused with spirituality. Originally arriving at the studio for a physical work out, he soon became aware of the transformative power within the practice which changes his life every single day. "My mat is my playground. It's an exploration of who I am and how to live life". Danny is passionate about sharing his love of Yoga and teaches from an authentic, kind and playful place. You can expect to move and flow fluidly through his classes. It's his intention to create a space where students are able to connect intimately with themselves through movement and breath leading towards self-awareness and transformation. "Come journey through self inquiry and let's dance with breath. See you on the mat!"

Roz Yee

Teacher

MEET ROZ

Roz first discovered yoga back in 2006, at the gym, when she saw it as a way to stretch within her fitness regime. But it wasn't until 2014 that she made the commitment towards a regular weekly yoga practice. What started off as a physical means for her to relax, eventually transformed into a greater awareness of the mind and body both on and off the mat. She completed her 200 Hour YTT in May 2018 at Creature Yoga in Byron Bay, under the guidance of Bess Prescott and Tahl Rinsky, her Yin Training in 2019 with Sarah Owen, and has also completed a few training modules with Noelle Connolly at Bodymindlife. She is currently training with Duncan Parviainen of Heart of Vinyasa Academy for her 300 Hour YTT certification, which will be completed at the end of July 2021. She has taught close to 1700 hours of yoga (group, private & corporate), and is currently registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 200. Having previously worked in the hotel, travel & real estate industries, in various accountant and administration capacities, Roz is quite content to be away from the corporate world for now to enjoy being on a path that allows her share a practice that has changed her life. Roz’s style of teaching has been influenced by all her teachers and reflects her passion for alignment, integrity, building physical & mental resilience, and inclusion; expect to move slow and to hold the poses in her yang classes as she works you towards a sustainable and strong yoga practice.
